How to make an easy tunic dress:

Happy Friday everyone!

When I was expecting my first child, my nesting instinct started to kick in but it went a little further than I thought. I started to sewing like a mad woman. I made a pillow, AC cover, bedskirt and even made a robot plushy for my son. Crazy, isn't it?  When I met my husband's friend's wife, Yulia. I was even more inspired to do more than just baby stuff since she is a sewing expert.  Yulia has been such a great friend and sewing supporter that I actually intended to make myself a dress. We started by going to Moods in NYC. I am so in love with that store!

What I have learned so far is that the most simple way to make your own dress is by finding an old dress you don't wear but love the style. The next thing to do is to turn it inside out. You will quickly learn the pattern of the dress. Cut it apart by following the stitched pattern and you will soon have your dress pattern.

Please feel free to add your own recommendations and/or corrections to my instructions in the comments. I would love to learn to sew the right way. :-)
